Project Description

Danielle Hoelter, CNM

Danielle grew up in New Jersey but has lived in New Mexico for the past 14 years and has been working in the birthing community during that time. She joined Women’s Specialists of New Mexico in 2017 and enjoys the close collaborative practice and delivering babies at the Lovelace Women’s Hospital. She became interested in midwifery in college and changed majors to pursue a degree in midwifery. The most rewarding part of being a midwife for Danielle is the experience of getting to know individuals and families as they plan for and expand their families. As a parent to two teenagers, she appreciates the very difficult, albeit rewarding, experiences of getting pregnant, growing a healthy baby, delivering and then parenting that child, and values the opportunity she has to help others as they go through this amazing life experience. Danielle also has a special interest in working with the LGBTQIA community and strives to provide a safe and welcoming space for all families and individuals who need to access obstetrics or gyn care.
