Job Title: Appointment Scheduler/Operator

Summary of Position Description:

  • Schedule patient appointments according to pre-established guidelines
  • Transfer calls to appropriate departments or personal
  • Confirm patient appointments two days in advance (when needed by reception)
  • Work compatibly with other departments and employees of WSNM
  • Cover Main Operator as necessary
  • Provide excellent communication and customer service
  • Engage in positive patient interactions
  • Become proficient in practice management computer system and telephone/voice mail system
  • Schedule return appointments as needed
  • Balance collections daily; close batches in timely manner
  • Attain adequate computer skills in the practice management computer system
  • Distribute incoming mail and packages
  • Mail out recall cards
  • Sort and scan patient “Release of Information” forms
  • Employee may be assigned additional duties as necessary or desirable by management.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school degree or GED
  • Minimum of one year experience with multiple phone lines preferred
  • Knowledge of computer systems and telephone/voice mail system preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Hearing, speaking and visual acuity
  • Sitting, stooping or standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift at least 20 lbs.

Job Title: Human Resources and Credentialing Specialist

Human Resources Responsibilities include:

  • Perform diversified clerical and administrative activities
  • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process, including posting job openings, and screening resumes
  • Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment and changes
  • Assist with HR projects, such as training programs and employee engagement initiatives
  • Coordinate employee events and recognition programs
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

Credentialing Responsibilities include:

  • Process initial credentialing prior to the new providers start date, involving detailed review of documents and data
  • Process recredentialing applications for established providers
  • Monitor upcoming license renewals
  • Maintain CAQH and Conduent (Medicaid) Databases
  • Maintain Licenses and Policy Spreadsheet
  • Frequently communicate with new and established providers
  • Program new providers in Greenway, Viewpoint, and Updox

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an HR and Credentialing role required. HR/Credentialing Certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures is beneficial
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Job Title: Medical Assistant

Summary of Position Description:

Assist health care provider in a manner to assure quality and professional medical care to our patients.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Prepare patient for exam; take vital signs
  • Obtain urine sample and accurately perform urine dip;
  • Perform massage on coolsculpting patients;
  • Update the problem list; record exam information and lab results in the patient record;
  • Set up and assist the provider with procedures; obtain consent form signatures;
  • Assist in patient education by use of handouts;
  • Maintain and supply exam rooms;
  • Prepare next day charts;
  • Call patients for postpartum follow-up
  • Attain adequate computer skills in the practice management computer system
  • Maintain patient recalls in the practice management computer system
  • Mail pap smear report cards as appropriate
  • Work compatibly with all other departments and employees of WSNM
  • Complete Competency Testing (BP, Gestational Dating, Injections, Clean Catch UA, Pregnancy Testing)
  • Administer Injections
  • Review laboratory results in charts

Additional Assignments:

  • In order to ensure maximum flexibility and efficiency, WSNM promotes and encourages cross training;
  • Employees may be assigned additional duties as necessary or desirable by management.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school degree or GED;
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program, certification preferred, or a minimum of one to two years experience as a medical assistant;
  • Possess good communication and excellent customer services skills.
