Job Title: Certified Nurse Midwife         

Summary of Position Description:

Women’s Specialists of New Mexico currently has an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Certified Nurse-Midwife to join our team of five midwives. Our CNMs provide full-scope practice for the management of pregnancy, childbirth and gynecological care in collaboration with our OB/GYNs physicians. WSNM nurtures the midwifery model of care and has a strong collegial relationship with our physicians. The selected Midwife will provide first call responsibilities at Lovelace Women’s Hospital. A combination of clinic and on call hours make up a 40 hour week with a post call day off. Appropriate certification and experience in the practice of midwifery required; new graduates may be considered. WSNM provides excellent benefits and a competitive salary.

Job Title: IT Support

Work Schedule: Part-Time (20 hours per week) Monday through Friday

Summary of Position Description:

  • Responsible for providing support to employees in the following areas: EMR software assistance to include problem solving, troubleshooting and training; and help desk duties to include technical assistance and support with computer systems, hardware and software issues.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Provide subject matter expert knowledge of EMR software
  • Design and implement testing, scenarios, scripts and procedures for applications, updates and upgrades
  • Establish program set up of new staff to include setup of data cloud users
  • Create and maintain templates and programming maintenance of post upgrades
  • Deliver training to providers in the proper and effective use of EMR
  • Act as a support liaison between staff and the software developer, and coordinate system enhancements and program upgrades
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming concerns and issues related to systems, software and hardware
  • Train incoming staff
  • Report significant recurring issues to IT support organization (Lighthouse)

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience in computer support services, preferably in the healthcare industry

Job Title: Patient Service Representative

Summary of Position Description:

Responsible for efficient check-in and checkout processes to include polite, professional and caring interactions with patients. Accurate computer skills and assure appropriate collection of patient balances.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Assure good customer service (smile, eye contact, positive interactions, always listen to your customer)
  • Greet and check patients in and out in timely manner
  • Answer phones and schedule medical patients
  • Update personal and insurance demographics in computer; verify insurance information
  • Follow-up on all computer system alerts
  • Collect co-pays and other balances due from patient
  • Enter all recall dates and resolve recall appointments

Job Title: Medical Assistant / Oasis MedSpa

Summary of Position Description:

Assist health care providers and Medspa employees in a manner to assure quality and professional care to our patients.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Prepare patient for exam or cosmetics procedures; take vital signs where appropriate;
  • Turn over GYN or Cosmetics room;
  • Obtain urine sample and accurately perform urine dip;
  • Perform massage on coolsculpting patients;
  • Update the problem list; record exam information and lab results in the patient record;
  • Set up and assist the provider with procedures; obtain consent form signatures;
  • Assist in patient education by use of handouts;
  • Maintain and supply exam rooms;
  • Prepare next day charts;
  • Run auto clave;
  • Assist with cosmetics laundry;
  • Attain adequate computer skills in the practice management computer system;
  • Maintain patient recalls in the practice management computer system;
  • Mail pap smear report cards as appropriate;
  • Complete Competency Testing (BP, Injections, Clean Catch UA, Pregnancy Testing);
  • Administer Injections;
  • Review laboratory results in charts;
  • Become familiar with cosmetics procedures in order to answer patients questions and schedule appointments appropriately;
  • Assist Patient Service Representative check-in and check-out GYN and Cosmetics Patients;
  • Answer phones and schedule cosmetics patients;
  • Work compatibly with all other departments and employees of WSNM.

Additional Assignments:

  • In order to ensure maximum flexibility and efficiency, WSNM promotes and encourages cross training;
  • Employees may be assigned additional duties as necessary or desirable by management.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school degree or GED;
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program, certification preferred, or a minimum of one to two years experience as a medical assistant;
  • Prior experience in a cosmetics/medspa environment desirable;
