Special Interests: A fluent Spanish speaker, Dr. Wurzel specializes in minimally invasive surgical solutions for women who need surgery–modern surgeries offer decreased bleeding, decreased pain, shorter recovery time and faster return to work. He is excited about several new treatment options available to WSNM patients: robotic and laparoscopic surgery for a wide variety of gyn problems including pain/ endometriosis/ fibroids/ masses or cysts of the female organs, urinary incontinence and bulging or falling of the female organs (prolapse); there are also some new and very gentle procedures for permanent birth control, to lower ovarian cancer risks, and to control heavy periods; he notes that many patients who have been told by other doctors that they need a traditional open incision surgery are actually good candidates for modern, gentle and less invasive surgeries–come see him to talk about your options or to get a second opinion.
