Katherine Nelson, MD
Dr. Katherine Nelson was born in San Antonio but grew up in Albuquerque until her family moved back to Texas for her high school years. She attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI obtaining a biomedical engineering degree. She returned to Texas to complete medical school at the University of Texas Houston Health Science Center and residency training in OBGyn at Texas Tech University of the Permian Basin in Odessa, TX. She most recently moved back to Albuquerque after working in Portland, OR.
She loves that OBGyn gives her the ability to care for women at all stages of their life. She is excited to be joining the amazing providers at Women’s Specialists of New Mexico. When not working, she enjoys spending time with family, walking her dog, cooking, and traveling.
