Laurel Wolcott, CNP
Laurel moved to New Mexico in 2010 from northern California and fell in love with the landscape and culture. She first knew that she wanted to work in women’s healthcare in high school when she was trained as a peer counselor by the local family planning clinic. It was then that she recognized how impactful creating a safe space was for her peer’s health outcomes and autonomy. Since then, she has dedicated her career to providing trauma informed, compassionate reproductive and gender related healthcare. She has a special interest in providing gender affirming hormone therapy and is committed to maintaining an environment that meets the healthcare needs for our LGBTQ community as well as marginalized and vulnerable people. It is vital to Laurel that her patients feel safe, empowered and listened to.
She completed her nursing degree at CNM and after many years as a dedicated nurse, went on to finish her graduate degree as a women’s health nurse practitioner with the University of Cincinnati. She is thrilled to be a part of the WSNM team and continue caring for our community.
In her free time, Laurel enjoys hiking and exploring New Mexico with her two children. With two young children, life is busy and full of laughter and new adventures.
