Mariah Martin, CNM
Mariah has been interested in midwifery since high school when she saw her first birth while shadowing a midwife. This interest grew through nursing school in Virginia and while working for 6 years as a labor and delivery nurse. Her nursing experience reinforced the importance of building rapport and relationship with people seeking healthcare. She moved to New Mexico to pursue a degree in nurse-midwifery at University of New Mexico, during which she discovered a love for contraceptive work, health education, and catching babies. In her spare time, Mariah loves cooking, reading, and hiking with her dog. She practices a model of care that seeks to be evidence based, trauma informed, and empowering to all patients.
